Khanal, Dahal agree in principle to reshuffle Cabinet

KATHMANDU, JUL 28 -
Prime Minister and CPN-UML Chairman Jhala Nath Khanal and UCPN (Maoist) Chairman Pushpa Kamal Dahal agreed in principle to reshuffle the Cabinet on Thursday.
Khanal and Dahal agreed in principle to reshuffle the government by creating favorable environment by concluding the peace process and statute drafting and implementing five-point pact.
According to the prime minister’s press advisor Surya Thapa, the duo held discussion on concluding the twin tasks of the peace process and statute drafting during the meeting this morning.
The UML Standing Committee (SC) meeting will create conducive environment for the same, Thapa said.
The party SC meeting has been scheduled after 12 this afternoon.
The Maoist has recommended 24 names--12 for Cabiet ministers and 12 state ministers--for Cabinet reshuffle.
