KATHMANDU, JUL 27 - Chief of Army Staff Chhatra Man Singh Gurung has left for Singapore on Wednesday to attend the seventh conference of head of the militaries of the Asia Pacific region.
The three-day conference will start on July 28 and will discuss the strengthening military cooperation among countries of the Asia Pacific.

During his his stay, Gurung will also meet military leaders of the US, China, India, Pakistan, Bangladesh, Canada, Bangladesh and Singapore, according to a press statement issued by Directorate of Public Relations of Nepal Army.
Gurung is accompanied by his wife Kamala Gurung.
Nepal Army’s second in command Lt Gen Gaurav SJB Rana will serve as acting army chief during his absence.
